Co-Director of the Next Step Program; Speech-language Pathologist at the Manville School
Matthew Arnold, M.S., CCC-SLP is a Speech-language Pathologist at the Manville School, where he has run small and large groups focused on social cognition, pragmatics, and problem solving, for the past fourteen years. During his time at the Manville School, Mr. Arnold has honed his abilities in assessing and providing effective interventions for many students with ASD. A recipient of the Cotsen Award for Excellence in Teaching Students with Asperger's Syndrome, Mr. Arnold has participated on the educational advisory board of the Asperger's Association of New England since 2007. Additionally, Mr. Arnold has taught Home and Personal Management and Social Skills to students with visual impairments, ages 14-20 years old and many with a diagnosis of ASD, since 2003, through the Summer Outreach 3- Week Overnight Program at the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA. Mr. Arnold received his B.S. in Communication Disorders and his M.S. in Speech-language Pathology from Emerson College, Boston, MA.
