Dr. Terry Harrison-Goldman is thrilled to be joining our team as a Neuropsychologist and Director of Assessment Services. With 25 years of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to CET.
Prior to obtaining a doctoral degree at NAU, Dr. Harrison-Goldman worked as a school psychologist in San Diego, CA, which provided her with first-hand experience working within a school district and an understanding of the educational system (IEPs, 504 Plans, eligibility regulations, etc). In this position, Dr. Harrison-Goldman worked in an integrated preschool program completing multi-disciplinary team assessments with a speech pathologist, occupational therapist and special educator.
Dr. Harrison-Goldman completed an internship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She initially remained on faculty at the University of Minnesota where she was an integral part of the Neuropsychology team, completing neuropsychological assessments with children diverse neurodevelopmental, neurological and medical disorders (e.g., ADHD, Dyslexia, Epilepsy, Tourette Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury/mTBI, Anxiety), completed research with children with rare disorders (e.g., MPS I/Hurler Syndrome and Adrenoleukodystrophy) and was part of the APA-approved training program. Dr. Harrison-Goldman subsequently moved to the Northeast, where she was on faculty at Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School and worked at the New England Pediatric Institute of Neurodevelopment (NEPIN) completing neuropsychological evaluations and as one of the primary training supervisors in the Clinical Psychology Training Program. Dr. Harrison-Goldman also ran a private practice for many years.
Prior to accepting the Director of Assessment Services position, Dr. Harrison-Goldman was the Clinical Director of Neuropsychology and Training Director of the Pediatric Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship at Nemour's Children's Hospital in Wilmington, DE and was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Harrison-Goldman has been an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA), International Neuropsychological Society (INS) and the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychologist (AACN) and was the Past-President of the Brain Injury Association of DE (BIADE).
