Emily Peters, MA, EdM, NCSP
Psychology Intern
Emily Peters (she/her) is a psychology intern from the University of Connecticut. She is in the process of earning a doctoral degree in school psychology. She earned a Master of Education degree in School Psychology and an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Columbia University.
Emily is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and holds a license in Massachusetts in School Psychology. She has extensive experience working with children and families in school, outpatient, and clinical settings. She has training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), summer treatment program (STP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy (TARGET), and is working towards a certificate in the Modular Approach to Treatment for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). Emily also has experience providing psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments to adults, children, and adolescents in private practice and school-based settings.
Emily’s research and clinical interests center around interventions to address aggression and school-based violence in children and young adults.
