Angela Wang, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Angela Wang is a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Baker Center for Children and Families within the Center for Effective Therapy and a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She earned her Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University (APA- and PCSAS-accredited). Dr. Wang completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Wang has significant experience with evidence-based treatment models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and has received extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioral Parent Training (BPT), and pediatric psychology interventions. She is currently pursuing certification in the Modular Approach to Treatment for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). During her graduate studies, Dr. Wang also provided training and consultation to clinicians and educators in DBT-A and district-wide school interventions.
Dr. Wang is deeply committed to empowering youth and their families to build purposeful lives by providing support in developing the skills and tools necessary for meaningful and sustainable growth. Her dissertation research focused on the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of a telehealth-delivered DBT skills group for adolescents in a primary care setting. As a bilingual provider in English and Mandarin, Dr. Wang strives to contribute to increasing access to care that is both respectful of and responsive to the strengths and needs of diverse populations.
